Tradition & Innovation

Supports 100+ years of stewardship by pairing sustainable materials with modern packaging performance.

For over a century, Cherry Stone Aqua Farms has been farming oysters and clams on Virginia’s Eastern Shore while protecting the waterways that sustain them. But their commitment to sustainability doesn’t stop at the shoreline. Shipping live shellfish requires strict temperature control and durability, which traditionally meant using plastic-based EPS foam. Seeking a better solution, they partnered with Atlantic Packaging and discovered Cruz Foam, a compostable, high-performance alternative that safeguards both their product and the planet. By blending tradition with innovation, Cherry Stone Aqua Farms is leading the seafood industry toward a more sustainable future.
